This 2004 Fender Custom Shop 50th Anniversary '54 Stratocaster was Masterbuilt by Greg Fessler to celebrate the Stratocaster's first 50 years. Serial #4341 includes its matching anniversary Certificate of Authenticity and TWO cases, including the distinctive 1954-style poodle case.
THE CRAFTSMAN BEHIND THE GUITAR
Greg Fessler joined the Fender Custom Shop in 1990, working his way from apprentice to Master Builder. His work on the Robben Ford signature instruments led to his becoming Ford's personal builder. Fender also credits him with custom builds for Joe Bonamassa, John Mayer, Jeff Healey and Hank Marvin.
His work includes the 2017 Prestige Texas Special Stratocaster, inspired by the early-1990s Texas Special concept imagining a custom guitar for Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Joe Bonamassa's "The Bludgeon" '51 Nocaster recreation.
We're fortunate to have two examples of Fessler's craftsmanship at RO-K's: this anniversary Strat and our Bonamassa "Bludgeon" Nocaster, JB090. Different personalities, connected by the same accomplished builder.

• Two-tone sunburst finish
• Maple fingerboard
• Three-way pickup selector
• Light finish checking
• Matching anniversary Certificate of Authenticity
Played and tested, with properly functioning electronics, frets in good condition and playability checked. Please see the detailed photographs for cosmetic condition.
TWO CASES INCLUDED
The anniversary-era 1954-style "poodle" case is a highlight of this package. Its slim, shaped profile and richly plush interior capture the presentation of Fender's earliest Stratocaster cases. It is exceptionally well preserved.
These anniversary cases have collector appeal of their own: a comparable 2004 example is advertised separately at $570 before shipping. That is an asking-price reference, rather than a confirmed sale.
A second hardshell case is also included. Both cases are pictured.
Available for $7,400. Local pickup is an option.
